Hannah Rother at the harp

Hannah Mary Rother is a brilliant and distinguished harpist, pianist, composer, and arranger based in Central Texas.

A graduate of Sam Houston State University with a BM in Harp Performance, her musical development has been shaped by studies with accomplished harpists Elaine Barber, Susanna Wang, and Dr. Yirui Li. During her time at SHSU, she served as Principal Harp of the SHSU Symphony Orchestra and performed as Guest Principal Harp with the Conroe Symphony Orchestra and White Oak Wind Orchestra.

Her musical collaborations include performances with wind ensembles, choirs, and string quartets, giving her a breadth of experience that allows her to adapt effortlessly to different spaces, audiences, and occasions.

Today, Hannah performs as a solo artist and with the Austin Philharmonic Orchestra. She also serves as co-secretary for the Greater Houston Chapter of the American Harp Society where she works to bring performance, educational, and networking opportunities to local harpists.

When away from the harp, Hannah enjoys taking nature walks, baking, and spending time with family. For information about her award-winning composition portfolio, please visit the Aeolia Music official website.
